2004 미국 대통령선거 후보 정책비교
Young Koreans United (YKU) of USA and
Korean Alliance for Peace and Justice (KAPJ) present
"Issue Comparison of 2004 U.S. Presidential Candidates"
to politically empower Korean Americans by comparing the political
platforms
of two major 2004 Presidential candidates
- President George Bush (R) and Senator John Kerry (D) -
with the positions of YKU and KAPJ,
grassroots organizations that have been working
in the Korea American community for 20 years
to promote peace and reunification in Korea,
social justice in the United States,
and Korean American community political empowerment.
YKU and KAPJ do not support any particular candidate but only provide
comparisons on the issues that are closely related to the Korean
American community, so that Korean American voters can be informed in
participating in the election.
지난 20년동안 재미동포사회에 뿌리를 내리고 한반도 평화와 통일,
미국사회의 정의실현, 커뮤니티의 권익신장을 위하여 활동하여 온
재미한국청년연합과 재미한겨레동포연합에서는
2004년 주요 후보로 주목받는 공화당 후보 조지 부시 대통령과
민주당 후보 존 케리 상원의원의
경력, 정책에 대한 입장 피력 내용과 선거공약을 우리의 입장에 대비하여 조명하는
정책비교 책자를 만들었습니다.
재미한국청년연합과 한겨레동포연합은 특정후보에 대한 지지 입장을 추구하지 않습니다.
단 우리 커뮤니티와 밀접하게 연관된 정책분야를 설정하고
이에 대한 양후보의 입장을 비교∙평가함으로
커뮤니티 유권자들이 보다 정확한 이해를 바탕으로 선거에 참여하도록 준비하였습니다.
