The North American tour -- working with the House of Sharing in Gwangju (Gyeonggi Province), Korea, and the artwork of former “comfort women” victims -- generated much needed international attention to this issue. Building on that success, YKU continued to support the former comfort women’s official apology and redress by the Japanese government. YKU's actions include education, solidarity protests, legislative actions, and cultural performances such as co-sponsoring a threater showcase "Bring Back My Youth" in 2006.
